The Bikram Yoga series is a 90 minute workout that improves physical strength, flexibility and balance while enhancing mental clarity and focus.

The practice is a sequence of 26 postures, including 2 breathing exercises performed in a heated environment. The heat accelerates the rate of change in the body, improves circulation, helps to eliminate toxins and significantly reduces the risk of injury during stretching.

The Bikram series was created by Bikram Choudhury specifically to combat stress, bad posture, obesity and problems arising from our busy lifestyle.

Bikram has scientifically formulated and demonstrated yoga's ability to regenerate and cure chronic ailments.

Bikram Yoga is all you need to support a healthy and vibrant lifestyle.

Bikram Yoga Glasgow, based just off Byres Road in the city's West End, is Scotland's first fully certified Bikram Yoga studio. Come along for a tour of our custom designed studio, speak to our knowledgeable teachers, meet our friendly students and find out more about the many benefits and rewards of Bikram Yoga.

What should I wear?

The studio is very warm! Women should wear shorts or thin cotton leggings, sports bra or tank top. Men should wear shorts.

What if I'm not flexible?

Then this is the yoga for you! Yoga is not about how flexible you are, but about strengthening your body and spine in all directions. All that matters is that you try the right way, go to your personal edge and you will get 100% of the benefits.

How should I prepare for my first class?

  • Drink plenty of water before class
  • Do not eat 2 hours before class
  • Bring a mat and 2 towels (we also rent towels and mats)
  • Arrive 20 mins before class begins

How often should I practice?

You may need a few classes to acclimatise to the hot room and several more before your body cooperates. Regular practitioners average 3 classes per week.

We recommend that you take as many classes as possible during your introductory time to begin to feel the benefits immediately.

Watch out though ... it's addictive!
